Unlocking Your Future: Discover Scholarships Opportunities in Canada!

Hello everyone thanks for subscribing my newsletter. Hope you are having an amazing Eid with your family. I cant believe within a month more than 1200 people decided to subscribe to my newsletter. Done with intro. Let’s talk business.

1. Banting Scholarship: The first Scholarship I want to talk about it the Banting Scholarship. This is the most prestigious Scholarship in Canada. Unfortunately this is focused mainly towards Canadian PR and Citizens. That does not entirely exclude the International Students. Post doc level international students can hope to receive one of these scholarship by dint of excellent research profile. This is the most prestigious scholarship. You can call it Canadian version of full bright scholarship. Here is the link:

and here is the Screenshot with the details. I usually take notes like this. I save the link and screenshots for myself. This Newsletter is like a public notetaking system. hope this unpolished version is not bothering you too much.

2. Vanier Scholarship: This one very similar to the last one. 166 students are awarded every year. Students from diverse background can apply for this scholarship. Here is the link to the government website:

Please do your own research to review your eligibility. Make sure you apply well ahead of the deadline. I really get annoyed when I see students wait until the last day while applying for scholarships. Blunders will happen. Give yourself room to correct any mistakes that you will inevitably make.

3. Anne Vale Ecological ScholarshipThe last two scholarships I talked about are government funded scholarships. I will outline two scholarships now. These are private or non government scholarships. Here in Canada I have seen the tradition to donate money to the educational institutions for research and innovations. In Bangladesh we are really big on donating money to the poor people. A lot of people are into buying rickshaw or cow to establish poor people. In my opinion a student who has proven their worth through academic excellence is a more deserving candidate for private donations. I poor person with a cow will bring change to their family. But a bright student if given sound financial support has potential to bring changes to the entire nation. We should start donating for education. Inshallah in future I will be the change I want to see. I started pouring my hearts out while writing about private scholarships. Here is the link for Anne Vale Scholarship. Its not that big of an amount. I wanted to share this as a sample. When you come to study here you will see lot of such scholarships. Please grab those opportunity. Also don’t forget to give back to your community where you came from once you are established.

4. Pierre Trudeau Scholarship: This Scholarship is given by Trudeau foundation. The amount is around 40000 CAD. There are certain participating institution for this scholarship. I have made a mistake of not applying to the bigger more expensive universities thinking that I am not good enough. I thought I would not be able to bear the costs. That was a bad mistake. Usually bigger, higher ranked universities receives grants and Scholarships more than lower ranked smaller universities. Everyone should have at least 2 ambitious universities in their list.

For now I am done with government and no govt. scholarships. University funded scholarships are the most common one. At least 35 Students from my mentorship community have received university funded scholarship. I am not saying, getting these scholarships are a piece of cake. of course you have to be outstanding at something, be it result/publishing/extracurricular/work experience. But trust me none of these students including me are aliens. We all eat rice and fish and do all kind of fun. We are not monks who live in Himalaya to focus on our studies. It is extremely achievable. Just believe in yourself and work on your profile. You can book a session with me at tomarahman008@gmail.com if you need someone to set a direction for you. I would be happy to help. Done with unsolicited advise. here are the links.
